Established in 1996, Barnes & Co. has performed thousands of building inspections  in Victoria and the southern Vancouver Island region.

We are currently in our 14th year of business and have gained extensive experience with older homes, new construction, multi-unit properties and condos.  The majority of our clients have been referred to us by other clients and many are past clients who are purchasing their second, third and fourth homes.  

We are committed to providing excellent service in all aspects of the inspection process, from prompt and friendly telephone responses to follow-up consultations.

Our Inspectors

Our inspectors are CAHPI (Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors) Registered Inspectors, having completed the training required to pass CAHPI exams, and maintaining annual educational requirements. CAHPI is the largest, most well established inspection organization in Canada. As well as the Standards, CAHPI publishes the Code of Ethics to which we strictly adhere.

British Columbia has become the first Canadian jurisdiction to regulate the home inspection industry and has recently adopted regulations and licensing requirements for all inspectors. Our inspectors meet The Business Practices and Consumer Protection Authority's requirements and hold the above noted licenses.
